A unique assignment at one of Sweden's most culturally historic estates

Do you want to work with one of the country's most fascinating and multifaceted estates where history, nature, buildings, and people interact every day? We are now looking for an experienced Property Manager for an interim assignment of at least 12 months (with the possibility of extension) – an assignment that will provide you with both breadth, responsibility, and a fantastic environment to operate in.

About Julita Gård

Julita Gård is owned and managed by the Nordic Museum Foundation, one of Sweden's oldest cultural historical institutions, founded in 1873. The museum works to preserve and bring to life the life in the Nordic countries through objects, environments, and stories – from the 16th century to today. As part of its national mission, the foundation manages several unique cultural historical environments, where Julita Gård is one of the foremost tourist destinations.

Julita Gård is a vast and vibrant estate with:

• 2200 hectares of land

• Approximately 1500 hectares of forest and about 400 hectares of pasture with two tenants

• About 330 buildings, ranging from modern agricultural buildings to historical environments

• About 80 tenants, permanent residences, and vacation homes

• A manor area with culturally significant buildings (one building complex is K-marked)

The work is carried out together with an experienced team of six people where you will be responsible for personnel: 3 craftsmen, 2 property technicians, and 1 forestry and land worker.

The Assignment

As an interim manager, you will have overall responsibility for operations, development, and maintenance. The role includes:

Management Responsibility

• Responsibility for the approximately 330 buildings and their long-term maintenance plans

• Planning and follow-up of contracts, operations, and ongoing supervision

• Quality assurance and management of the work in the team

Land and Lease Management

• Collaboration with the estate's tenants and follow-up of agreements

• Contact and dialogue with tenants – both permanent residents and vacation homes

• Review and development of existing land and pasture leases, including nature conservation areas

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid experience in property management, preferably from larger and varied holdings

• Thrives in a role where you can lead, structure, and develop

• Has an understanding of – or curiosity about – cultural environments, land management, and agriculture-related activities

• Is a confident leader who is good at bringing the team together and making decisions

• Has an easy time building good relationships with tenants, landlords, contractors, and colleagues

It is advantageous if you have previously worked in environments with historical buildings, large land areas, or complex management structures.
